- 50% of children are inactive
- Less than 10% do more than the recommended daily exercise (1 hour/day)
- Youth activity peaks between ages 10-12 and trends down as they age.
- 50% of youth play registered sports
- 9% of youth boys meet the minimum physical activity guidelines in Canada
- 4% of youth girls meet same.
